Ingredients

Garlic Mushroom Toastie

Banana Choc Mocha Hazelnut Toastie

Caramelised Apple Toastie

Method

Garlic Mushroom Toastie

  1. Begin by heating the oil in a medium fry pan over medium heat. Once heated, add the mushrooms, garlic and salt and pepper to taste. Sauté until mushrooms are brown and have reduced in size, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Heat a sandwich press or if one is unavailable, heat a fry pan over medium heat.
  3. Spread one side of the sliced bread, with half of the Nuttelex. Place it spread side down on the hot sandwich press or fry pan. Top with the sautéed garlic mushrooms and grated cheese. Spread one side of the other slice of sourdough with the rest of the Nuttelex. Place the bread on top of the garlic mushrooms, with the spread side facing up.
  4. Lower the lid of the sandwich press and leave to cook until golden. If using a fry pan, carefully flip the sandwich once the bottom side is golden and toast the other side.
  5. Serve hot.

Banana Choc Mocha Hazelnut Toastie

  1. Heat a sandwich press or if one is unavailable, heat a fry pan over medium heat.
  2. Spread one side of the sliced bread with half of the Nuttelex. Mash half the banana onto the side that doesn’t have Nuttelex. Sprinkle over the instant coffee, chocolate chips and toasted nuts. Place buttered side down on the hot sandwich press or fry pan.
  3. Spread the other half of the Nuttelex on the other slice of bread. Mash the rest of the banana onto the side that doesn’t have Nuttelex. Place the bread on top of the slice in the fry pan, with the buttered side facing up.
  4. Lower the lid of the sandwich press and leave to cook until golden. If using a fry pan, carefully flip the sandwich once the bottom side is golden and toast the other side.
  5. Serve hot.

Caramelised Apple Toastie

  1. Begin by placing a medium sized fry pan over medium low heat. Add 1 ½ teaspoons of the Nuttelex and leave to melt.
  2. Add the sliced apples, brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir to combine. Slowly caramelise apples for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally to avoid burning. They should be soft and lightly brown.
  3. Heat a sandwich press or if one is unavailable, heat a fry pan over medium heat.
  4. Spread one side of the sliced bread with ½ teaspoon of the Nuttelex. Spread the nut butter on the other side. Place bread, buttered side down, on the heated sandwich press or fry pan. Top nut butter with a light dusting of cinnamon and the cooked apples.
  5. Spread ½ teaspoon of the Nuttelex on the other slice of bread. Place the bread on top of the apples, buttered side facing up.
  6. Lower the lid of the sandwich press and leave to cook until golden. If using a fry pan, carefully flip the sandwich once the bottom side is golden and toast the other side.
  7. Serve hot.
