The best waffles are made from scratch…crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. We have both a dairy free and egg free option below- enjoy with fresh fruit, Nuttelex with a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar, maple syrup or a dollop of your fave plant based ice-cream.

Method

Buttery Waffles (Dairy Free) Method

  1. Mix all dry ingredients together well.
  2. Combine egg yolks and milk and mix into dry ingredients above, then stir in the melted Nuttelex
  3. Carefully fold in whipped egg whites, do not over mix.
  4. Pour 1/2 cup at a time into waffle iron. Cook till set.
  5. Serve warm with Nuttelex, maple syrup, iced sugar and/ or fresh berries.
  6. If making for a few people, place in warm oven till ready to serve.
  7. Any left overs may be frozen.

Buttery Waffles (Vegan) Method

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and whisk stir well until mixture is smooth -it will be thin and runny but that is fine
  2. Heat waffle maker and grease it with Nuttelex on both sides (top and bottom). Pour the batter with a ladle into the waffle iron.
  3. Close your waffle maker and bake the waffles for about 5 minutes until they're golden and crispy on the outside
  4. Serve the waffles immediately with your fave topping like plant based coconut ice-cream.
