Beef & Mushroom Pies

These old school pies are just the ticket on a winter's eve. Serve with a rich homemade tomato sauce or fruit chutney. Note: You can easily use pre-made frozen pastry in the recipe as well. But making your own is totally satisfying and does taste that little bit more yum. Makes 4 pies.

Homemade Croissants

This is a great recipe for those who appreciate fresh, homemade pastry. Perfect on their own or filled with vegemite, chocolate spread or your favourite jam and Nuttelex. This recipe makes approx. 1 dozen croissants.

Crispy Organic Chicken with Watercress Slaw & Spiced Macadamia Sauce

This organic chicken and slaw recipe is super satisfying and a deliciously easy meal for two. Note for a vegetarian version replace chicken with tempeh.

Classic Carrot Cake

Always a popular choice. Cover with a tangy lemon icing made by blending 1 tablespoon of NUTTELEX with 1/2 cup icing sugar and the juice of 1/2 lemon.

Or for the classic cream-cheese style topping (as pictured) you'll need

  • 500g spreadable cream cheese
  • 50g Nuttelex
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 200g  icing sugar

Wholemeal Blueberry Muffins

Moist and full of flavour, these are perfect for the lunchbox, breakfast, brunch or after school snack. Makes approx. 10 muffins (depending on your pan size)

Boiled Fruit and Nut Cake

A  McNally family fave (founder's of Nuttelex), this cake is probably what your Grandma use to make at Christmas. It's too good to eat only once a year, however, and we suggest you bake it for your next picnic or hike in the country, and serve with a hot thermos of strong tea.

Dairy Free Butter Cake with Coconut

Served with tea this cake makes the ultimate afternoon indulgence, with just a light dusting of icing sugar. However, you can make it a little more fancy with the addition of a lemon drizzle icing sprinkled with shredded coconut  or top with a thick buttercream style icing with lemon zest.

Scones

This recipe should take the mystique out of scone making. Ensure the oven is hot, the Nuttelex well chilled and don’t over-handle the dough.

Ginger Sponge

This impressive looking sponge has a beautiful light flavour and is one of those classics you'll be glad to have in your repertoire.

Raisin Loaf

According to a customer called Di, who kindly contributed this recipe,  the simplicity of this recipe means you can whip it up at short notice. Perfect for morning or afternoon tea, slice and spread the loaf while warm with a good dollop of Nuttelex.
