Three Fabulously Festive Sides

Add some instant cheer to your table with these simple and delicious dishes. Tweak to your taste, the focus here is on easy prep, maximum impact and the wonderful colours and flavours found in fresh seasonal produce. Both the Ruby Slaw and Pumpkin Salads can be made a day ahead. All store well in the fridge and totally satisfy as post celebration leftovers.

Samantha’s Ginger Breads (Dairy Free)

This recipe is a keeper. Follow as is here or spice it up with a generous spoon-full of chilli cocoa (available from good spice stores or chocolatiers). Decorate with ready to roll fondant, icing, edible food glitter & silver cachous pearls as Samantha has done here, or use a stencil to dust-on your chosen image with icing sugar or, add nothing at all. Either way they taste delicious. #GingerBreadLove #DairyFreeXmas #ChristmasBakingInspo

Best Vanilla Buttercream (dairy free)

This icing is a cinch to make and tastes delicious. You can tone back the vanilla flavour if you want a slightly more neutral taste  by simply opting for an unflavoured plant based milk and reducing the vanilla extract to half a teaspoon.
